The chip and the anti-chip behavior
As a woman almost in her forties, born in a south American country I may have "traditional chip" set in - deeply ingrained in the unconscious. And the problem with the unconscious as we know is that it is unconscious. However, I have been growing aware of it.
Aware of it and aware of how easy it is sometimes to act just against the chip. Sometimes one must bounce against extremes to land softly in the middle , or wherever I want to land.
Wherever I want to land.

Just one thing : 22 Find strengths
Strength comes in many forms, including endurance, losing on the little things in order to win on the big ones, in order to win on the big ones and restraint.
How
Mental strength draws on physical strength. ...
Exercising several times a week ...
Sleep....
Make a list of your strengths: such as intelligence, deep introspective and analytical capacity, pure kindness, extremely trusting of people, divorce survivor, changing countries, flying to different countries... surviving in different countries, holding my ground when needed.
Recall times when you felt strong (like standing up for yourself, long solo runs or bikes, leaving the monkey mind for something useful., choosing not to eat junk, choosing not to take more than one needs... .. )
"the winds of live can blow and blow hard, but you are one deeply rotter tree and in the long run the winds will only make you stronger as they force you to adapt... and after those are done blown you offer shade shelter, flower and fruit"....

I am like my mom...
to a great degree.
all those years disgagreeing with my mom...thinking when am her age...blah blah
the circle is closed
I have traits from her in me. I can recognize them now.
The universe at work. What I disagreed with , can't even remember now, I must carry within.

Gym(nasiums) in the USA, SouthAmerica, and Europe
The name comes from the Ancient Greek term gymnós meaning "naked" (From wikipedia)
How much can you deduce from the culture in a gymnasium where showers are private, semi private , or shared?
Where changing rooms are again private, semi private or non existent at all?
I find it fascinating to even start to understand all of these nuances in different countries and how my own comfort level has changed.
Beautiful people in Colombia in very proper and private locking rooms for females, same as in Peru. Private showers in both countries.
UK already semi private, same as in South Germany where I visited some years ago, and finally Finland where showers have no divisions really one big space.
Not to mention what women carry. In Finland one extreme, as little as possible it seems, in Lima you can see women dragging around a carry on.
Comfortable with nudity. Or not. how much. how come. I am with the Fins ....
